During Victorian times, orchids were extremely rare and symbolized luxury and fine taste. When Victorians gifted orchids, it was thought that the more rare the orchid, the deeper the love for the recipient.

This vintage enamel brooch (circa 1920) features a finely rendered enamel orchid with a pearl accent at its center.

The brooch measures 1.2 inches from top to bottom by 1.2 inches wide. It is in excellent condition.
